On February 28th,2016 the Ladue Horton Watkins High School (LHWHS) Laduettes danced their way to the top at the National Dance Alliance’s National Competition in Orlando, Florida. The pom and dance team won first place in the nation for hip hop with a score of 91.33. This was the highest score out of over 20 teams from across the U.S. in the hip hop category and the first Missouri high school team to ever win a national championship in the hip hop category. At this same competition, the team also placed No. 8 in the nation in the Pom category.

The team also placed first in hip hop and second in poms at the 2016 St. Charles Classic Dance Competition. This is the sixth year the team has qualified for nationals.
